200 meters deep water wells were drilled in Atatürk Children‘s Hospital, one of the largest children’s hospitals in Afghanistan, and a 25-ton water tank was built in the Thousand-Bed İbni Sina Addictive Treatment Hospital, Afghanistan’s largest drug addiction treatment center, and 150 meters deep water wells were drilled.
Atatürk Children’s Hospital has a capacity of 150 beds and is the second largest children’s hospital in the capital city of Kabul with 252 personnel. While the water well opened in Atatürk Children’s Hospital is expected to serve 1,000 people per month, the water well opened in İbni Sina Dependent Treatment Hospital is expected to serve approximately 10,000 people per month.
During the delivery process of the water wells, Atatürk Children’s Hospital Chief Physician Ghulam Hassan Kamil expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided, expressing that the Republic of Turkey has always supported its hospitals both financially and morally. Mohammed Taher Sultani, Chief Physician of the Thousand-Bed Ibn Sina Dependent Treatment Hospital, also expressed his satisfaction that the water problems of the hospital staff and patients have been resolved.
